Employees under the AT&T Southwest agreements should receive the ratification bonus by May 30th. All wages have been increased as of May 11th.
New contract books will be printed and dispersed as soon as practicable. Once the PDF is available, we will post the new contract online.
Here is the letter sent from District 6 Vice President Derrick Osobase:
Thank You, Members – Our Contract, Our Victory! We Fought! We Won!
Dear CWA District 6 Local Leaders, Mobilizers, Activists and Members,
Again, Thank you!
With your strong participation and support, the 2025 AT&T Southwest contract has been ratified with a 71.78% YES vote to 28.22% NO. This outcome is a direct reflection of your engagement, your solidarity, and your belief in the power of collective action.
Throughout this process, you showed what it means to be union strong. You made your voices heard — on the job, in mobilization efforts, and through your votes in the electronic ballot. You read the materials, attended meetings, asked tough questions, and took action. You reminded all of us that when members are informed, united, and involved, we win.
This victory belongs to you!
We also want to thank the bargaining team, who fought every day at the table to bring home a contract that reflects our shared priorities. Their long hours, sleepless nights, and steadfast focus on securing real improvements were powered by the strength and unity shown by the membership.
Real leadership means prioritizing the interests of the whole, and taking responsibility for the people who count on you to fight for them and their families. Real Leaders never pawn off responsibility or blame to others. They understand that the weight of leadership is privilege. Leaders show up during hard times and conflict, they build, and bring people together.
Our bargaining team exemplified those traits mentioned above.
To our local leaders, mobilizers, and activists, thank you for standing on the front lines — keeping members informed, organizing mobilizations, and helping build momentum every step of the way. Your efforts provided us the leverage to attain historical gains in this agreement.
Together, we’ve delivered a contract that moves us forward — and we did it the right way: through unity, transparency, and member-driven strength.
As we move forward there’s still work to do. As our new contract comes into effect it will be our jobs, collectively, to hold AT&T accountable to the language we agreed to in this contract. What this means is locals, stewards and members must know their contract.
Additionally, during this contract fight, members across our D6 states contacted law makers from both parties. As you can imagine, not all of them supported us. But for those who did, we are deeply grateful. In upcoming weeks we’ll send thank you letters to those that stood with us-and we’ll put those who didn’t on notice! We’ll need each of you to do this.
Let’s continue building power, protecting our gains, and preparing for the challenges ahead. Our union is only as strong as its members — and you’ve proven that strength beyond a doubt.
Thank you all for your hard work and commitment to this project we call Unionism!
In Solidarity,
Derrick Osobase Sr.
